We have listed some alternative ways to recycle your real Christmas tree.
Create your own mulch 2 If you have access to a wood chippers why not turn your real Christmas tree into mulch. Saw off the Christmas trees branches then break them down into small pieces to fit the chipper. You can put the mulch in your compost bin, spread it over garden borders, create a pathway or even bag it up to give to friends
Make your own bird feeder
Why not make a bird feeder from the trunk of your Christmas tree! Saw off the majority of the branches, leaving just a few to be used as a natural perch for the birds. Drill 6-8 wholes right through the trunk and fill with suet cake or unsweetened peanut butter. Inserting a one-eyed screw at the top of the trunk will allow you to suspend your new bird feeder with rope or wire.
